Jodie Foster and Her Older Sister, Connie on the Set of “Taxi Driver”, circa 1976

During the filming of Taxi Driver (1976), Jodie Foster’s older sister, Connie Foster, served as her body double for certain scenes. This was primarily due to Jodie’s young age—she was only 12 at the time—and the mature nature of her character, Iris. To comply with labor laws and ensure Jodie’s welfare, Connie, who was older, stood in for her during some scenes.
Photographs from the set capture the sisters dressed identically, highlighting their resemblance and the filmmakers’ efforts to maintain continuity. One notable image shows Connie and Jodie standing side by side in matching costumes, emphasizing their similar appearances.
