Alois Arnegger (1879–1963) was an Austrian landscape painter celebrated for his luminous depictions of the Alps and the Mediterranean coast.

Born in Vienna, Arnegger trained at the Academy of Fine Arts under Robert Russ and August Eisenmenger. Early works focused on the snow-covered mountains and rural scenes of his homeland, capturing the soft glow of alpine light. After travels to Italy in the 1920s, he turned increasingly to the sunlit shores of Naples, Capri, Sanremo, and other coastal towns. His paintings are distinguished by dramatic lighting, rich color, and a romantic sense of atmosphere.
Arnegger is remembered for his ability to convey both the quiet majesty of the mountains and the radiant warmth of the Mediterranean. These luminous paintings showcase the atmospheric beauty and golden light that define the work of Alois Arnegger, a true master of Alpine glow and Mediterranean sun.
