Born in 1945, Rotterdam-based photographer Jan started to photograph in the fifties with a Agfa Clack (6×9). “Also started to develop the films myself after I found in the loft the old equipment of my father who did that since around 1930.”

Jan later bought a Werra I camera that unfortunately was stolen in Madrid. “Then I bought a Yashica Minister D camera. Followed by a Minolta X500 and several other Minolta Reflex. I entered the digital era in 2005 with the Canon PowerShot A85. I still have.”
Jan doesn’t have friend and family photos. His subjects are mostly planes, cars, interesting villages and especially portraits of his beautiful wife Cherry. Also scans of his films and slides of the past.
