Sharon Tate met Richard Beymer on the set of Hemingway’s Adventures of a Young Man (1962). The two dated, and were briefly engaged. During this time, Richard encouraged Sharon to pursue an acting career. “He told me I should be in pictures and believed him,” said Sharon.
