In the late 1940s, Marilyn Monroe took acting, dancing, and singing lessons (sometimes all in one day) to perfect herself for any role that might come her way.
These vintage photos of Marilyn Monroe were taken by J. R. Eyerman for Life magazine during a ballet lesson in Hollywood in 1949. Her instructor is Nico Charisse, ex-husband of the actress and dancer, Cyd Charisse.
