Oddly Decorated Summer Parasols Add Novel Touch to Fashions, 1924

This post was originally published on this site

Sunshades grotesquely decorated with fur, feathers and various kinds of fabrics have appeared at some of the English resorts as novelties in summer fashions in 1924. Designs of different kinds of flowers and birds were worked on them, forming distinctive touches to the beach or holiday costume. One of the first of this style bore a realistic representation of a cat’s face of white fur with painted glass eyes.

Cat’s-face design worked in white fur on top of ordinary black parasol.
