Dope ’70s Heart-Shaped Afros

This post was originally published on this site

This is one of numerous hairstyles featured in a 1971 book called All About the Natural written by Lois Liberty Jones (a hairdresser) and John Henry Jones (a journalist).

In addition to presenting “high fashion” Afros, the book advertised an array of Clairol haircare products – this isn’t surprising given the fact that its publisher was Clairol, Inc.

This heart-shaped Afro is aptly named “Heart and Soul”: “A sweet, sweet way to switch your regular style to something special.”
