Since 1997 the collector André Robé has bought slides from the personal archives of private individuals. He built up sets of carefully thought out images. Stylistic coherence, combined with iconographic research, formed a corpus raisonné. In turn, he created a body of work akin to it. Robé saved photographs, lost in the oblivion of the privacy of people’s homes, which became icons. (yellowkorner)
