Railroad Mans Magazine was the title of this monthly pulp publication. Started in 1909, till it was merged in 1919, with Argosy and Railroad Mans Magazine, for a short time before being dropped entirely. But was reintroduced by Frank Munsey Publications, from 1929, till 1932, when it changed to Railroad Stories Magazine. Till 1937, when it was changed again to simply Railroad Magazine.

December 1942, Munsey Company was bought by Popular Publications, which dropped the magazines fiction in 1954. But otherwise published Railroad Magazine till 1976. When the magazine was sold to Carsters Publication, and ran till May of 1979. From 1979 till the present, it is published as Railfan & Railroad.
