1980s in the USSR were rather eventful times. It started from the grandiose Olympic Games, and then ended with beginning of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
These fascinating photos were captured by Dawn Farrell that show what Soviet Union looked like around 1985. Cities included Moscow, Kiev and St. Petersburg.
