Time to don some tight clothing that doesn’t quite fit and limber up with the one and only Tony Britts!

Tony Britts, who was originally born in Ghana; used to be a fitness instructor who worked for BBC. Britts was born, Anthony Menson Amuah, on November 24, 1966 in Ghana and he later immigrated to the United Kingdom. He grew up in London while pursuing his career in fitness instruction. Tony Britts, which happened to be his stage name didn’t get as much attention back then. But he sure is people’s favorite now. In the 1980s, this Ghanaian dancer offered a short fitness sequence once a week in the BBC’s morning program.
Back in the days, while working for BBC, Tony presented his choreography on a resolute disco musical background. He wiggled and along with the rhythmic moves; encouraged the viewer to keep up with him. He punctuated his session with “that’s it, that’s it”, (that’s it, that’s it). The BBC camera of the time, not shy, multiplied the close-ups on strategic swaying. And Tony seemed to be having the utmost fun.
Unfortunately, Tony Britts is no more with us! He passed away on the month of June in 1988 at the young age of 32 in Greater London. The cause of Tony’s death has been reported to be AIDS. There aren’t any more details of Tony and his family members that can be traced on the internet. But one can tell, he was a very energetic and vibrant personality, who could definitely lighten up people’s mood.
