40 Vintage Snaps Capture Portraits of Young Girls in the 1940s

While girls primarily wore dresses and skirts in the 1940s, very young girls sometimes wore overalls. In the later forties, pinafores were worn over dresses and throughout the 1940s, plaids, gingham, florals, and bright colors were popular choices, worn with contrasting white collars.

These vintage snapshots were found by Steven Martin that captured portraits young girls in the 1940s.
