Born 1959 in Ogden, Utah, American singer and actress Marie Osmond gained success as a solo country music artist in the 1970s and 1980s although she was never part of her family’s singing group.
Osmond’s best known song is a remake of the country pop ballad “Paper Roses”. From 1976 to 1979, she and her singer brother Donny Osmond hosted the television variety show Donny & Marie.
On September 9, 2019, Osmond premiered as a new host of The Talk. She is also a author and has authored three books, all of which featured in the New York Times bestsellers list.
