This pair of photos of an 18-year-old Dean was taken in a photo booth at the Terminal Arcade in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1949. In one shot he’s posing serenely, wearing the eyeglasses he needed to combat his extreme myopia, and in the other he is laughing uproariously sans glasses.
