Jacob Jansma (1893-1972) was a Dutch artist known for his work as a painter, graphic artist, designer, and illustrator. He was particularly recognized for creating numerous advertising posters. His work has been offered at auction multiple times.
Jansma also worked as an art director and designer, and some of his posters were for Dutch films. He created posters for films such as Sneeuwwitje (Snow White, 1937) and Kouwe Drukte (1938). These posters showcase Jansma’s creative vision and the distinctive style that defined Dutch graphic art between the 1920s and 1940s.
