Born 1925 in the South West of France, French model Marie-Thérèse Pouch LeMoine moved to Paris and try the “model” career, where she has been quite successful, until married in 1962. She mainly worked for Pierre Balmain, but also Dior and Givenchy. She travelled the world at times where it was not really common : USA, Brazil, Europe…

Marie-Thérèse was a beautiful slim blond model for Pierre Balmain during the 1950s. Together with Geneviève they were the star mannequins of Balmain’s cabin.
In her late 1950s, Marie-Thérèse gave to the national fashion museum (Musée Galliéra in Paris) all what she kept from her model career, including some exceptional dresses, robes, etc… All that can be seen at the museum.
