Denise Sarrault is a French model, among the most famous in the 1950s and ’60s. She works with important photographers such as Helmut Newton, Jeanloup Sieff, and Robert Doisneau. During the 1950s, she works for Hubert de Givenchy and meets Joan Whelan who will become a lifetime friend and future wife of Johnny Moncada.

In 1998, Sarrault published Denise Sarrault. La Passante, edited by Centre de Documentació i Museu Tèxtil of Terrassa (Barcellona), with texts by Hubert de Givenchy, Catherine Ormen, Jean-Noël Liaut and Jean Paul Najar. For Moncada, she works for many years and her photos for “Harper’s Bazaar UK” in 1965 are of special importance.
