1936 Crazy Project to Make the Second Floor of the Eiffel Tower Accessible by Car

In 1936, André Basdevant devised a project to allow cars to access the restaurant on the Eiffel Tower. The idea: the construction of two helical concrete ramps on each side of the monument. An unusual project for the Eiffel Tower which, fortunately, was eventually abandoned!
